Where does A Tea Novel source its tea from?Our teas are sourced from various origins, blended in Germany and packed in Singapore to ensure only the freshest quality are delivered. If you have a query about a specific tea or tisane and its origin, please feel free to get in touch with our customer service team.

Does our teas contain any allergens?Some of our teas contain allergens, so it is always best to check the ingredients list at the back of the tea box, foil, tin, or on the product description page on our website.

What are the ingredients listed flavourings?Where listed, the flavour in all our teas are food graded and made of all-natural molecules that are found in nature, made in an artificial process. We use a higher concentration of these compounds than what is found in nature to give an intense flavour and to maintain seasonal consistencies amongst the teas. If a flavour contains or is made up of any allergen or of any other ingredients (like sugar for example) this will clearly be displayed in the ingredient listing.

Does tea expire and is it safe to drink tea after it’s expiry date?Tea is classified as a ‘low-risk item’ (like honey or bottled water) so as a general rule of thumb, it doesn’t expire. To ensure that our teas are enjoyed at their optimum taste and freshness we do have a best before as a general guide. Our teas are best served before 18 months for the best flavour. This is located on the bottom of the box or tin, or on the back of our foils. Our teas are best sipped before their best before date!

How should you store our tea?Whenever possible, store in an air-tight container, away from direct sunlight, moisture and odours. Exposure to these conditions will cause the tea to deteriorate and lose its flavour. You may also store them in the fridge to maintain freshness for as long as possible. However, do note that opening a bag straight from the fridge will result in condensation on the inside of the pack, which, when closed, can then affect the quality of the tea inside.

How long does it take for orders to be dispatched?Dispatch for online orders can take up to 1-2 business days from the time of your order being placed. Please note that this does not include peak periods.

How long will my order take to be delivered?We ship all orders with Singpost/ Ninjavan, who have provided the following estimates for delivery: Domestic shipping timeframes (deliveries within Singapore): 1 – 3 business days Please note that all shipping timeframes are from the time of dispatch. Dispatch can take up to 1 – 2 business days from the time of your order being placed. Please note that this does not include peak periods.

What are the shipping cost within singapore?Enjoy free delivery for all online purchases $50 and above inclusive within Singapore. There will be a $1.95-$3.95 delivery charge for all online purchases below $50 within Singapore. International orders: Currently we don't ship internationally, however if you are interested to get it delivered to your country, just drop us a email at admin@ateanovel.com.

Returns, Exchanges and Refunds"When you purchase from A Tea Novel, we want you to be happy with your products. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, sometimes you may need to return your goods. The policy below is set out as to when you can return your goods, and the way to do so.

Received faulty, incorrect or damaged goods"Whilst we take all measures to ensure that orders reach you free of defect and according to order, we acknowledge that human error might sometimes occur. We apologise in advance for the inconvenience caused. Please drop us an email at Admin@Ateanovel.com or you can reach us via Facebook or Instagram Message @ATeaNovel. Be assured that we will revert back at our soonest. All exchanges or refunds should be within 14 days from the date of purchase and products must be in its original packaging. ATeaNovel will not be liable for any goods missing during the delivery of returns.

When you return goodsCustomer shall return the product at their own cost. Goods returned shall be refunded at the price which the Customer had paid at the point of delivery. ATeaNovel will not cover the costs of refunding shipping charges unless it is due to a company error. Any returns that are verified to be not in accordance to our quality standards and/or not due to the company's error will be subjected to 25% restocking fee of product cost. In order to receive full refund, all returns must be unopened in their original packaging and in resalable condition. PayPal credits refunds according to how the original payment was made. Do note that refunds to credit cards can take up to 30 days or more to appear on your statement.
